Workshop Controller (Carlisle & Dumfries)
We are looking for a Workshop Controller to join our Service team. They will cover both our Carlisle & Dumfries outlets, but the role will be based from our Carlisle depot.
Main Responsibilities:
- Responsible for controlling daily scheduling within the Service Departments.
- Primary contact for incoming customer technical and commercial enquiries.
- Ensure jobs have correct information and job stories are ready for invoicing.
- Add suggested repair / PDI / servicing time on all jobs.
- Build culture to actively promote incremental service opportunities and ensure all opportunities are followed up.
- Quote for internal and external service work efficiently.
- Assist Service Manager to ensure customer satisfaction through phone calls to customers.
- Ensure that all manufacturer warranty and Product Improvement Program (PIP) are completed in time.
Attributes we are looking for:
- Ability to lead others, to speak one on one and within a group.
- High level of communication and human relations.
- Able to work under pressure, to work extended hours & weekends when required.
- Agricultural background.
- Solid time management skills in a highly productive environment.
- Ability to analyse and interpret internal reports.
- Basic understanding of financial principles relative to Service Dept operations.
- Ability to use computer apps such as Microsoft Office and internet functions.
- Familiarity with John Deere and competitive products.
- Preferred: 3 years of work experience in Service Department operations.
- Essential: Full UK Driving Licence.

Job Type & Hours:
- Full time/ Permanent/ Monday – Friday, plus overtime as required & Saturdays on a rota basis.

- Carlisle & Dumfries depots. Based at Carlisle.

- Salary is dependent on experience.
