Workshop Controller (Carlisle & Dumfries)

We are looking for a Workshop Controller to join our Service team. They will cover both our Carlisle & Dumfries outlets, but the role will be based from our Carlisle depot.  

 Main Responsibilities:

• Responsible for controlling daily scheduling within the Service Departments.
• Primary contact for incoming customer technical and commercial enquiries.
• Ensure jobs have correct information and job stories are ready for invoicing.
• Add suggested repair / PDI / servicing time on all jobs.
• Build culture to actively promote incremental service opportunities and ensure all opportunities are followed up.
• Quote for internal and external service work efficiently.
• Assist Service Manager to ensure customer satisfaction through phone calls to customers.
• Ensure that all manufacturer warranty and Product Improvement Program (PIP) are completed in time.

 Attributes we are looking for:

• Ability to lead others, to speak one on one and within a group.
• High level of communication and human relations.
• Able to work under pressure, to work extended hours & weekends when required.
• Agricultural background.
• Solid time management skills in a highly productive environment.
• Ability to analyse and interpret internal reports.
• Basic understanding of financial principles relative to Service Dept operations.
• Ability to use computer apps such as Microsoft Office and internet functions.
• Familiarity with John Deere and competitive products.
• Preferred: 3 years of work experience in Service Department operations.
• Essential: Full UK Driving Licence.

Job Type & Hours:

• Full time/ Permanent/ Monday – Friday, plus overtime as required & Saturdays on a rota basis.

• Carlisle & Dumfries depots. Based at Carlisle.

Salary:

• Salary is dependent on experience.
