Parts Representative (Kendal)
As a Parts Representative, you'll be a vital part of our aftersales team, ensuring our customers have fast, accurate access to the parts they need to keep their machinery running at its best. They also work closely with the Service team to ensure that parts needed for customer repairs and services are ordered correctly, assigned to the job/customer and available when the technicians need it. This role is integral to supporting aftersales performance, contributing to business growth, and helping us consistently meet and exceed customer expectations.

Job Type & Hours: Full time/ Permanent/ 8am-5.30pm Mon-Fri plus alternate Saturday mornings.
Location: Kendal Depot (LA7 7FP)
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Be the first point of contact for customers in the outlet and over the phone for any merchandise, parts or service enquiries.
- Foster excellent relationships with our customers to enable a first-class service and encourage continued custom.
- Maintain knowledge of the full range of parts, tools, equipment and services we offer, including groundcare and handheld, in order to proactively recommend, promote and sell as appropriate.
- Offer advice and troubleshooting assistance to customers regarding parts compatibility and usage.
- Identify required parts, pick parts from stock and place orders with suppliers to meet customer needs and expectations.
- Ensure payments are handled in line with procedure, completing invoicing and administrative tasks as needed.
- Maintain inventory and merchandise displays, ensuring the shop floor is welcoming and well-presented.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in a parts department or a mechanical role is essential
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively explain parts and products to customers and understand customer needs.
- Good knowledge and understanding of the agricultural industry and equipment.
- Good IT skills with the ability to use standard IT applications and learn new platforms/systems easily.
- Ability to build and develop strong customer relations to encourage continued custom and ensure we remain the John Deere dealer of choice.
- Strong attention to detail ensuring accuracy in order details, product numbers, pricing and CRM administration.
- Proactive and organised work ethic, with the ability to work on own initiative.
