Management Accountant (Kendal Depot)

Reporting into the Group Finance Manager, this is a key position within the Group that has become available due to an internal promotion. The successful Management Accountant will play a key role in the production of monthly accounts to enable management to have vital business insights to drive our ambitious plans for the future, whilst maintaining a high degree of stability and financial management of current operations.
Main Responsibilities:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts with variance analysis
- Management of Trial Balance including reconciliation of control accounts
- Produce month end and year end journals
- Produce inter-company invoices and reconciliations
- Management of Fixed Assets and Depreciation
- Management of supplier incentives
- Management of key supplier statement
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly VAT returns
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly consolidated Group accounts
- Liaise with external audit in preparation of statutory accounts
Attributes we are looking for:
- Professional accountancy qualifications at AAT level or above
- At least 3 years experience as a Management Accountant
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic fast moving business environment
- Excellent communication skills across all levels of the organisation
- A positive mindset with good levels of self-motivation
- Excellent MS Office skills
- AAT Qualified (or similar)
- Eligibility to work in the UK
