Slurry Tanker Range

The Redrock slurry tanker range is constructed to the highest standards. Each tank is rolled from 6 mm steel and fully welded inside and out, with 4” x 2” channel rings welded internally to provide extra strength and extend service life. The body, wheel arches, supports, and drawbar are engineered and manufactured to precise specifications, ensuring rigidity, reliability, and long-term road-worthiness year after year.

Features

All Redrock vacuum tankers are constructed from 6 mm high-quality rolled steel, fully welded inside and out, and fitted with anti-enclosure rings to limit strain on the tank.

The drawbars are full-length and attached ahead of the axle or axles, allowing the tank to be pulled from the running gear’s fixing point, which reduces stress on the tank structure.

Before painting, all tanks are shot-blasted clean and finished with a high-quality primer and topcoat.

Alternatively, vacuum tankers can be galvanised for capacities up to 3,000 gallons.

Tanks come equipped with hose hooks on both sides, three sight glasses at the front, and one at the rear.

Jurrop vacuum pumps are fitted as standard, with hydraulic controls for both spreading and suction operations.

For safety, all tanks include anti-implosion valves and pressure relief valves.

Optional Extras

100mm (4”) Sight Tube
The optional 100 mm sight tube provides the operator with a more accurate indication of the slurry level in the tanker. This is particularly useful when using systems like the Trailing Shoe or Dribble Bar, allowing the operator to monitor slurry flow in real time.

Self-Fill Booms
The Self-Fill Boom is a hydraulically operated arm that allows the slurry tank to be filled without leaving the tractor cab. Slurry is drawn through a funnel connected to the slurry pit, and the system operates via the hydraulic pipework of the vacuum pump changeover, so no additional spool valve is required. A Turbo Filler can be added to the Self-Fill Boom or fitted at a fill point to speed up the filling process. The Turbo Filler features a propeller that moves slurry much faster.

Transfer Boom System
The Transfer Boom rotates through 275°, enabling unloading on either side of the tanker. This is ideal for filling a field tanker over ditches using the hydraulic top-fill hatch. Redrock top-fill hatches include a unique locking system for added safety.

Air and Air/Hydraulic Brakes
Air brakes offer a smooth braking effect combined with high power. They also include a fail-safe feature, which automatically applies the brakes if the tanker becomes disconnected from the tractor. The combination of air and hydraulic brakes ensures compatibility with tractors equipped with either braking system.

Free-Steering Axles
Free-steering axles are available on all tandem sprung-axle vacuum tankers. The steering axle follows the tractor’s direction, with an oscillation range of approximately 15° on either side of the front wheel. When traveling on roads or reversing, a hydraulic locking device aligns the running gear with the front axle for safe operation.

Trailing Shoe and Dribble Bar Systems
The Trailing Shoe delivers a controlled amount of slurry directly to the grass roots, minimizing waste and environmental impact. Its injection-molded rubber distribution boot is flexible and long-lasting. Both the Dribble Bar and Trailing Shoe systems use the Vogel Sang Exa-Cut Macerator for effective slurry distribution.

Downhill Spreading System
This system ensures that slurry is completely emptied when spreading on sloped or uneven ground, preventing residue and improving efficiency.
