1. POWERFUL THRESHING

The 660 mm threshing drum features 10 rasp bars and a 124° long concave, keeping four bars engaged at all times to form a thin, even crop mat. This design reduces grain damage and protects straw quality, while its open structure draws in dust instead of pushing it through the feederhouse—helping maintain a consistently clear forward view.

2. GENTLE PRE-SEPARATION

As the crop leaves the threshing concave, it expands as the gap widens between the overshot beater drum and the combine housing, initiating the separation process. Notably, the crop flows over the top of the beater rather than underneath it—a design that helps preserve straw quality while also reducing power consumption.

3. HIGH VOLUME ACTIVE SEPARATION

At the core of the T5 and T6 combines is the patented Tangential Plus separator concave, featuring an oversized 800 mm separating drum with a wide wrap angle and finger design that creates a ‘combing effect’ to enhance crop separation. The larger concave-to-drum gap allows for greater crop volume, making it especially effective in heavy conditions. Combined with round wires and large openings, this design improves crop flow and boosts kernel separation.

4. SECONDARY SEPARATION

As the crop exits the Tangential Plus concave, it is pulled onto the straw walkers by the rear discharge beater, which also delivers a secondary separating action via its own mini concave. For greater efficiency, the straw walkers operate at a lower frequency of 150 rpm with a 150 mm throw. Their high-step design supports a passive separation process, keeping the crop on the walkers longer to extract the final grains effectively.

MASSIVE CLEANING AREA

Thanks to an innovative, lightweight design, the T5 and T6 combines deliver a large cleaning area in a compact package. High-performance aircraft-grade aluminium is used extensively to reduce weight while maintaining the sieve’s structural rigidity. As a result, the 5-walker models offer a total sieve area of 4.70 m², while the 6-walker models provide 5.50 m².

INDEPENDENT SLOPE DESIGN

Six heavy-duty conveyor augers ensure consistent crop flow, even on slopes, and perform reliably in damp or sticky conditions. Combined with a powerful 740 m³/min airflow from the fan and the large sieve area, this design eliminates the need for traditional slope compensation features.

HANDLES HIGH YIELDS

In addition to the large cleaning shoe area, returns are fed back to the main threshing drum and evenly distributed across its full width by an auger. The volume of returned material is displayed in the cab and can also be inspected manually via a convenient flap located just outside the cab door.

EASY TO OPTIMISE

The whole cleaning system requires very little adjustment, so even inexperienced operators can still deliver an excellent grain tank sample with low losses. It also means operators don’t have to keep making adjustments when conditions are changing and can focus on other harvest operations.

HIGHLY EFFECTIVE PRE-CLEANING.

The crop drops 41 cm onto two ventilated steps that provide effective pre-cleaning of the chaff. This process helps prevent system overload in heavy crops and ensures even distribution of material across the front and rear of the chaffer, optimizing use of the entire cleaning area.

7 MINUTE CROP CONVERSION

Many combines use universal concaves to handle multiple crops. While convenient, this can lead to more crop loss and slower harvesting in tough conditions, since changing concaves takes time and effort.
However, research shows that switching from a universal concave to a small grain concave in difficult threshing conditions can improve performance by up to 12%.
That’s why we designed the T5 and T6 for fast and easy crop conversion—so you get top performance in hard-to-thresh crops like barley.

Image

The main threshing concave features two removable sections that can be fitted with three types of concaves: small grain, universal, and round bar.

  • Universal concaves are ideal for easy-to-thresh crops that require more separation.

  • Round bar inserts help reduce kernel damage in crops like corn, beans, and sunflowers.

With a bit of practice, you can swap these inserts in under 7 minutes through the stone trap. Spare concave sections are conveniently stored underneath the combine for quick changes in the field.

A spindle on the right side of the concave lets you slide the drawer from the working to the open position. From there, you can easily remove the current inserts or install new ones—then simply lower the drawer back into place.

SIDEHILLS

SIDEHILLS

SIDEHILL KIT
The T5 and T6 are fitted with augers that move grain to the cleaning shoe. These augers are slope-independent, ensuring the grain is evenly distributed across the chaffer—even on steep terrain.

A factory-installed sidehill kit provides up to 14% slope compensation for the cleaning system.

High dividers on the chaffer prevent grain from sliding to one side as it moves through the sieve. Rubber flaps on each side of the dividers work like pinball paddles, constantly flicking grain uphill to prevent buildup and maintain an even load on the cleaning shoe.

HILLMASTER™
The Hillmaster™ system uses hydraulics to level the entire combine by up to 15%, helping it perform as if it's on flat ground—even on slopes. By evenly distributing the machine’s weight, Hillmaster™ reduces stress on the downhill wheels, providing better grip in unstable or wet soil conditions.

When combined with the built-in cleaning system slope compensation, the total slope adjustment reaches up to 22%.

In addition to improving operator comfort, Hillmaster™ keeps the grain tank level—allowing you to fill it completely before needing to unload.

ADJUSTABLE CHOPPING INTENSITY

You can adjust the counter knives directly from the cab to fine-tune chopping intensity and fuel efficiency based on current crop and tillage conditions. They can also be manually adjusted without the use of tools. For tougher conditions, an optional grouser bar can be installed behind the counter knives to boost chopping intensity, and it too can be adjusted without tools.

AUTOMATIC WIND COMPENSATION

AUTOMATIC WIND COMPENSATION

AutoSwap automatically adjusts the tailboard’s spreading direction to counteract side winds using GPS data.

This eliminates the need to press the swap button at the headland and removes the risk of forgetting to change direction and operating with incorrect settings.

AutoSwap comes standard on residue systems with electric vane tailboards.

SUPER STRAW QUALITY

The T5 and T6 deliver up to 15% more straw than other combines, thanks to their ‘over-the-top’ multidrum separating system. With no abrupt changes in crop direction through the threshing and separating drums, stem damage is minimized. Before leaving the combine, the crop passes over high-stepped walkers for the final separation stage, fluffing it to create tall, open windrows ideal for high-quality bales. A chaff spreader ensures cleaner straw with no chaff content. Switching between chopping and dropping takes just 30 seconds.

DENSER BALES

DENSER BALES

Longer straw lengths result in tighter, better-formed bales with greater density. This added density offers multiple benefits - reducing the number of bales that need to be handled, lowering transport and storage requirements, and helping to preserve the straw’s structure and quality for an extended period.

For operators, this means greater efficiency in the field and improved bale quality in storage or at point of use. It’s one of the reasons why the T5 and T6 stand out as the logical choice for those who demand high-volume throughput while still maintaining exceptional straw quality.
