At Cornthwaite Group, we have certified technicians who can carry out your National Sprayer Testing Scheme (NSTS) tests and perform sprayer repairs on all makes and models of spraying equipment. These tests can take place either on farm or in one of our depots.
Why should I get my sprayer tested?
The Plant Protection Products (Sustainable Use) Regulations 2012 – Sustainable Use Directive – shows the legal requirements of sprayers, which explains that all pesticide application equipment which applies professional plant protection products must be tested.
Red Tractor Crops and Fresh Produce Schemes currently require yearly testing of all boom sprayers which are over 3 metres.
Red Tractor Livestock Schemes require all application equipment to be tested using the SUD timescales, annual testing is not required.
When should I get my sprayer tested?
Crop assurance scheme requirements, boom sprayers, micro-granular nematicide applicators and fogging machines must be tested annually.
How much does an NSTS test cost?
At Cornthwaite Group, we offer NSTS testing from £180.
