Purchase Ledger Assistant (Kendal Depot)
Our Purchase Ledger Assistants are responsible for supporting the day-to-day management of the purchase ledger. From processing invoices and reconciling statement to liaising with suppliers, your accuracy and attention to detail will help ensure the financial health and integrity of our business operations.
So, if you have a knack for numbers, can build good working relationships with our suppliers, and can process invoices with your eyes closed (not really!), this outstanding opportunity awaits you. Bonus points if you’ve got a soft spot for tractors, wellies and cups of tea!
Main Responsibilities:
- Monitor, respond to and process the accounts payable email inbox.
- Act as a main point of contact via telephone for supplier queries.
- Accurately process supplier invoices and credit notes.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies.
- Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to resolve queries.
- Maintain and update supplier account details.
- Assist with month-end procedures and reporting as required.
Attributes we are looking for:
- Previous experience in a purchase ledger or other finance role is preferable but not essential.
- AAT level 2 qualification is preferable but not essential.
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively.
- Ability to work independently and as part of the wider finance team in order to meet strict deadlines.
- Good IT skills with the ability to use standard IT applications and learn new platforms/systems easily.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships with external suppliers and colleagues across the organisation.

- Full Time/ Permanent
- Monday - Friday.

Salary
- Negotiable depending on experience.
